Taverns and stagecoach routes configured the Berwicks we know today. At this historical society fundraiser near the old Portland Turnpike, discover the dining experience of our region’s 18th century travelers.
Enjoy courses of authentic colonial fare prepared by local chefs, and beverages of Tributary Brewing and North Country Hard Cider. Generously hosted by the Red Barn, and coordinated by Paula Bennett, author of Imagining Ichabod.
Unwind as the tavern patrons might have with a tankard of a fine rum punch. Then enjoy the hospitality of the inn holder as he offers you his 18th century food and beverages, and provides you with the music of the time performed on a reproduction harpsichord and dulcimer. Period attire encouraged, dressy-casual attire requested.
