Silas Gordon is the acting Manager for North Country Hard Cider, L.L.C, and Co-Founder of the company. For thirteen years he ran and managed IVANGO Contracting, L.L.C., a successful residential construction company. He left construction in the summer of 2014 to devote his full attention to North Country Hard Cider. He has always been apple crazy and enjoys spending time on his family orchard in Central Maine. Silas is passionate about the outdoors and savors the time he spends fishing, foraging, hiking, or hunting. These days he is usually accompanied on his excursions by his fiancee Sarah and their pup, Murphy.
Ronald Dixon is Head Cider Maker and Co-Founder of the company. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Michigan, a Master’s Degree of Earth Science from the University of New Hampshire, a teaching certificate in Physical Science for the state of New Hampshire. He moved to New Hampshire in 1994 to attend UNH as a graduate student and worked as a science teacher in New Hampshire from 1998 to 2015. He was an avid home brewer, a passion that was ignited by his love for chemistry and beer. Outside of work Ron can often be found working/relaxing in the garden with his wife Shauna, their two children Lexie and Parker, and their pup, Baxter. Ron is passionate about playing soccer and coaching his son’s soccer team. He is also an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hiking, hunting, fly fishing and foraging.
Ivan Gordon is Co-Founder of the company. Ivan has a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from the University of New Hampshire. He has an enormous passion for stewardship of the environment, and has designed the experimental orchard on the family farm. Ivan has been actively attending seminars and taking class to further his knowledge on how to grow apples in holistic and environmentally conscious way.
